I wonder if these are the kind of plans Pyne has for education... who needs teachers if we can get the kids to mark their own tests.

The policies the Coalition took to the last election were cut and pasted from the IPA, a claim raised in many forums. Given the numerous parallels this is seemingly impossible to refute.
So perhaps now is a good time to publish a more independent report card. A comparison that lists all the IPA's 'ideas' that the coalition have already moved on. They are listed below in the order they appear on the IPA's wish list. What is also interesting is the order in which the Abbott government have actioned them.
1 Repeal the carbon tax, and don't replace it. It will be one thing to remove the burden of the carbon tax from the Australian economy. But if it is just replaced by another costly scheme, most of the benefits will be undone - WORK in PROGRESS
2 Abolish the Department of Climate Change - DONE
3 Abolish the Clean Energy Fund - DONE
4 Repeal Section 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act - WORK IN PROGRESS
6 Repeal the renewable energy target - RET THREATENED
10 Withdraw from the Kyoto Protocol - INITIAL WORKED COMMENCED IN WARSAW
12 Repeal the National Curriculum - GROUNDWORK BEGUN BY PYNE
13 Introduce competing private secondary school curriculums - GROUNDWORK BEGUN BY PYNE
30 Cease subsidising the car industry - STEP ONE COMPLETE
43 Repeal the mining tax - STEP ONE COMPLETE
50 Break up the ABC and put out to tender each individual function - PRELIMINARY STEPS TAKEN
69 Immediately halt construction of the National Broadband Network and privatise any sections that have already been built - GROUNDWORK LAID BY TURNBULL
72 Privatise the CSIRO - PRELIMINARY WORK BEGUN

Take a look into your crystal ball and ask, which of the following does it seem unlikely that the Coalition will implement. Especially if they have the balance of power in the Senate come next July

23 End mandatory disclosures on political donations
24 End media blackout in final days of election campaigns
25 End public funding to political parties
27 Eliminate media ownership restrictions
38 Repeal plain packaging for cigarettes and rule it out for all other products, including alcohol and fast food
39 Reintroduce voluntary student unionism at universities
40 Introduce a voucher scheme for secondary schools
41 Repeal the alcopops tax
43 Repeal the mining tax
44 Devolve environmental approvals for major projects to the states
45 Introduce a single rate of income tax with a generous tax-free threshold
48 Privatise Australia Post
49 Privatise Medibank

Afterall there is a great debt of gratitude that the Abbott government owes to a great many people who are members of the IPA, and who were cheering them on, in one way or another, in the lead up to the Federal election.
The big questions will be, what will the re-run Senate election throw up in WA, and if it doesn't deliver Abbott the balance of power in the Senate, will they be able to implement anything.
I'm hoping the good voters of WA will do this country a great service, and give our house of review the ability to protect us from the Mad Monk and his mad mates.
